Each year in November, the UK remembers the many men and women who gave their lives in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts.
Remembrance Sunday is the Second Sunday in November, the Sunday nearest to 11 November which is Remembrance Day when we hold at two minute silence at 11am.
Last week we took the littles on a trip to London to see the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red (aka the Poppies at the Tower) before the display is taken down....
It marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, a truely amazing 888 246 handmade ceramic poppies filling the towers moat, it is a most humbling sight....
Each handmade poppy represents a British military death during the war.
The poppies just went on and on....
Such a beautiful, moving and terribly sad sight
