Gnomes! The March theme reveal!

Well March has been a rollercoaster kinda month! With alot of home schooling I only managed to create this little fellow for the Gnome theme....

He's not finished and currently looks more wizard then gnome, but I like him!
He is made from air drying clay with glass eyes that I brought from eBay, wool hair, beard and eye brows and felt clothing and hat.

I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created as I am in much need of distraction!

  1. What a fabulous job you did sculpting his face! I love those green eyes. He does remind me of Merlin or Gandolf but he is still lovely as a gnome.

  2. Your sculpting of his face is so realistic! For a moment, scrolling down, I thought you had simply made a gnome hat for someone. I get the wizardly-feel too, but know that he could go either way. I can't wait to see what else you do "finish" him.

  3. Oh, I adore your wise old gnome. The details in his face are so expressive and give him great character.

  4. His face has such character. He is very wizardlike ! How did you attach his hair?! This is quite an accomplishment amidst work and home school! I am so glad you were able to play along!

Maybe he took some wizard courses! :-D

  7. I can so appreciate the limited time, and pulling something off to be able to participate and have some creative time to oneself. He is really done well (in my brain, gnomes and wizards do share quite a bit of likeness - especially when considering Ratagast the brown - which also inspired my gnome rabbit ears). :)

  11. But it's not all about money. Many items of jewellery, such as brooches, clasps, pins and buckles originated as purely functional items, evolving later into decorative items as clothing itself evolved, and the functional requirement in support of clothing diminished. minimalist jewellery
