Charm bracelet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

charm bracelet is an item of jewellery worn around the wrist. It carries personal "charms": decorative pendants or trinkets which signify important things in the wearer's life.

So, yesterday I showed you the making of a bracelet I have been working on, today I am showing you the finished item ....

This charm bracelet was specially commissioned for a little girl named holly (hence the holly leaf charm), A sweet gift from a loving father!

Have a wonderful day x

What a fantastic week!

I'm having a fantastic week!
First I get a letter from the much dreded tax man saying they owe ME money (which is always nice), Then we had a fantastic day with my neice on her first birthday and then I catch up on my blogs to find out that I have won a compitition!
Jennifer Cameron of Glass Addictions (FAB blog people so head on over and take a look) was giving away a copy of Clasic Chain Mail Jewelry and I won!
The funny thing was one hour before entering the comp I recived an email about the book and was considering buying it!!!
That leads nicly on to my newest make.....
I reaily loved the Byzantine braclet that I made but as I have such small wrists it looked really chunky on me so.... I have made one for myself with smaller rings!....

I did not even have to do the hard bit of working out all the complicated inner diamiter of the rings and wire gauge stuff because they had a really useful page on The Dragonfly Company about recommended ring sizes(there rings are as fantastic as there gallery is inspiring, I highly recomend them if your thinking of taking up chainmaille)!

A close up of my favorite galaxy bead from Flame and Glass

I LOVE this bead! Isn't it great! But it seems that great galaxy beads are as hard to find as the preverbial needle in a hay stack!
Hope your all having as great a week as I am!

Tinkerbells finished!!!

Birthday went very smoothly! In the boys words "best birthday ever" (he is soooo easily pleased bless him).
Got a few quiet minuets after all well wishers had gone and kids were enjoying new toys to sneak off into the wonderfully sunny garden and have some quiet time, in which I FINISHED Tinkerbell! I actually FINISHED a piece of embroidery!!! My first EVER!!!

The pic dose not do her justice so once shes made into a cushion I will post another pic and try to get the sparkle from the swarvoski crystals and the silver thread in the wings (I had to add sparkle). So tomorrow I think I will completely finish her up then start on my teddy!!!!

Here is the 2 in 2 necklace I made a few days ago. The center piece was finished and hanging around for ages in my unfinished box (I actually have one of those)!!!
And this is my very first commission.......

A 16th birthday present, sterling silver byzantine bracelet with pink swarvoski butterfly, seed pearl, fine silver 16 charm with pink sapphire on reverse and of course pink lampwork bead by the wonderful Laura Sparling.
I really like this photo would you believe.... it is taken on a very dirty garden table?
Have a great day x

Byzantine braclet

Byzantine braclet, came out the tumbler reaily sparkly and as I did not like the clasp it came with I added my very own, first ever, soldered one!

It looked a little plain so I added a detachable glass charm again by Laura Sparling (told you they were addictive)!

Think I will be keeping this one for myself!
