Recovering

My chest infection turned into pneumonia so I have been on lots of pills that make me more confused then normal and leave a nasty taste in my mouth (yuk), so not much making going on but I feel a lot better now and I do have a few pics to show you.....

Remember this one from ages ago....

well I was not 100% happy with it so tinkered and....

Now much happier, I took off the bead caps, as it was a bit bulky and distracted from the completely stunning bead then added a much smaller simpler one and lastly I liver of sulphured it, the black color goes much better with the galaxy.

I also made this....

Quiet hard to photograph but I had fun trying

Handmade figure of eight chain, bead by Laura Sparling (Lovely new glass trinket pot via local charity shop).

Have a great day

My Bead Soup has arrived and WOW....

Photobucket

I mean just take a closer look at this mini master piece....

Isn't she stunning and her back is just as beautiful....

Look at those feathers, she makes me want to watch Moulin Rouge, and with beads to match....

I feel completely spoilt and if all that was not enough I got extras....

I want to say a HUGE Thank You to Nat my soup partner for sending such beautiful treasures!

Have a great weekend

A break from earrings....

Do you have any of those annoying half finnished projects, you know the ones where you have a fait idea of what it will look like, but you just do seem to be able to be able to get it to the finnished stages?
This was one of mine (I have pots and pots of them), I had the bones of the bracelet, but just could not quiet get it right.
Now I think I'm finally there....

I just could not decided how to hang the beads on it, seems making all those earrings has helped me make up my mind!

It's nice to just put a project down every now and again and forget about it for a while, then come back to it with fresh ideas.

P.S Lovely Laura Sparling beads of course (oh and shes taking bead orders again, yippy!)

'Ear we go!

I seem to have a bit of a thing for making earrings at the moment (possibly due to my already short attention span being even shorter due to the wonderful weather and the need to be outside in the sunshine)....

I love the way these beads swirl arond as they hang so you get to see the beads from the front and the swirly sides!

The last of my blue nugget beads by the lovely Laura Sparling!

Also by the lovely Laura these two tone green beads, these earrings were really fun to make so you may well see some of this style!

Hope your all enjoying your day

flutterballs....

Look what the postman brought for me.....
It's almost enough to make me think he has not run off and left me (still waiting for so much stuff to be delivered!)

Aren't these sweet! There from Chameleon designs and are called flutterballs. I love that the bead is etched but the butterfly is not so you can see through the butterfly to where it sparkles inside the bead (you know I love sparkle)!

Circles braclet....

Using up the last of my soldered and hammered hoops, I made this circles braclet.....

Arnt these beads lovely! I like that the centre is a darker shade of green it adds that little bit of extra detail (beads by Laura Sparling of course who if you are quick has 25% her off beads to order this weekend)!!!

Taking over....

I'm trying very hard not to accumulate masses of jewellery making stuffs and suplies, in fear of taking over the living room (at the moment this looks like it may well be a possibility) So I am trying very hard to use up some of my bead collection before buying any many more (I just remembered I have a couple on order, Oh and there are a few I have seen that I reailly like) So I reailly had better work on some more designs!

This one I have been working on for AGES. It started off as a long necklace but would not sit right so I broke it up and made it into a bracelet (I seem to be going through a bracelet phase at the moment)!

I completly love these flurry beads (by Laura Sparling) but only have 6 left now :(

Newest braclet....

I completly LOVE these beads (of course by Laura Sparling)! They are the most wonderful blue with the neatest and tinest trail of silver dots running around the middle and then encased in a layer of clear glass that makes them look like jewels.

I could not decide which pic I liked most so I put all of them up.....

A seemless 2 in 2 chain.....

With a handmade double wire clasp to complment the 2 in 2 look

With the final shot a close up of the clasp!

One good thing that has come of the very very cold weather is that I get alot more time indoors to make jewellery especially as mess maker has been poorly with a bug and just wanted to sleep for the last couple of days.....

Thankfully shes feeling a little better now as I type this shes sitting next to me loving the fact she can see herself on the screen!

19.11.10

black and white earrings

I'm still waitting for supplies (head pins) so have not yet been able to finish my braclet but I did get to finish these today.....

The beads are by my favorite lampwork artist Laura Sparling and are simply hung on a few jump rings with some lovely seed pearls I got on holiday in Cornwall. The braclet if I even do finnish it matches.

First handmade braclet

My first handmade braclet!

Made from hammered 1mm sterling silver wire and beautiful blue lampwork beads by the wonderful Laura Sparling. I was so happy with how it turned out that I've spent most of the afternoon taking photos of it!
